Eating Issues Men’s Project

Why a research project about eating issues project for men?

Recent research indicates an increase in eating issues for men.  So now more research is needed to find out why this is the case and how to give better support to those in need.

Our aim

The project aims to decrease men’s current experience of isolation and shame about eating issues - and, in turn, to raise men’s self-esteem and a healthy sense of control in their lives.

There’s been a lot of misinformation about eating issues.  So the purpose of the project is to increase access to clear, accurate and helpful information for men, the health care industry and the community generally – that includes downloadable resources and/or printed publications.

Now this  project is complete we will publish our finding here and hope to be able to offer clear recommendations for future projects, service development and delivery to further help men with eating issues as well as transgender and intersex people.
