Isis has sessional counsellors whose accessible fees are based on the Medicare Rebate scheme or Isis’ affordable income-scaled fee.  We also offer a free counselling service through Isis’ Eating Issues Counsellor and eating issues student counsellors.

Alison (Alee) Lee

Isis Eating Issues Counsellor - Part time

Background
Alee has been working as a counsellor and group facilitator for approximately 20 years. Alee draws on training in Gestalt and Narrative therapies, Process Oriented Psychology, Mindfulness and Yoga teaching. Alee also works with a range of creative modalities to aid self expression and awareness, including art, voice and movement as well as symbol work and sand play. Alee has extensive experience in working with people who experience complex health issues such as a mix of eating issues and other issues such as self harm, drug and alcohol dependency, poor self-image, low self esteem,  sexuality and relationship issues. Alee has a Masters in Gestalt Therapy.

Interests
Alee has a commitment to a feminist understanding of eating issues, women centred practice and processes and community and cultural development. Alee values the arts as a natural way of supporting self expression and spiritual fulfilment. Alee has a particular interest in the relationship between eating issues, intimacy and creative expression and how women experience their appreciation and enjoyment of life.  Alee enjoys hanging out with family and friends, travel, surfing, dancing, art and music.

 
Isa Pfluger  

Therapeutic Support Worker - Part time

Background 
Isa is a counsellor BASS(Couns) and Gestalt therapist (MGestTherapy) with a special interest and personal recovery from body image and eating issues. She has been working at Isis for over 5 years providing counselling and facilitating groups. She has previously worked as a Yoga teacher and Shiatsu therapist and both modalities continue to influence her holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Interests
Isa is passionate about working with women towards greater self-awarness, choice and purpose in their lives. Other interests are dance, music, gardening and sustainable living.

Amanda Dearden

Medicare Rebate eligible Social Worker

Background
Amanda has studied psychology and social work. She has been working in the fields of eating
issues and sexual assault support and prevention for nine years providing counselling, group work
and education.

Interests
Feminism and empowerment principles, and passionate about group work and increasing understanding of eating issues, and working towards prevention.

Meridith Reid

Medicare Rebate eligible Social Worker

Background
Meredith has studied social work and has worked in the women's sector including Domestic Violence and Women's Health for 10 years providing counselling.  Meredith has a background in Narrative Therapy, Strengths and Solution Focused Therapies.


Interests
Feminism and empowerment principles, and women's health.
