International Women's Day 2010

International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. The day has been variously seen as a time for asserting women's political and social rights, for reviewing the progress that women have made, and as a day for celebration.

This year in Brisbane, join us on March 6 to celebrate International Women's Day. There will be a rally in King George Square at 10:30am, followed by a march through the city to the Numberlie Tjadjin (All the Sisters) Festival at the Musgrave Park Cultural Centre.
