One-to-one counselling support allows people explore their individual issues in a safe, comfortable and confidential environment.
Isis offers a range of options for face-to-face counselling, including:
Isis can arrange an appointment with you (called an ‘Intake’) to discuss with you the different options for individual counselling.
Intakes help us to understand the issues you are facing and enable us to better inform you about what’s available in order to help you to decide on the type of supports that fits best for you.
We understand what a big step starting counselling can be, so we do what we can to provide the support and information you need in a supportive environment.
An intake at Isis is free from fees and obligations. We understand that it can be important to ‘shop around’ for the services and workers you feel will be most useful for you in your recovery journey.
At Isis, intakes and counselling sessions generally run for approximately one hour.

For Free sessions that are missed without notice a restart fee may apply if more than two appointments are missed without 24 hrs notice to counsellors.
Medicare will give you rebates for 12 counselling sessions if you have a diagnosable disorder under the ICD10 Primary Health Care Classification (including anxiety, depression, and eating disorders).
You may be referred by a GP under a mental health plan to an occupational therapist, psychiatrist, social worker or psychologist. Isis has both a psychologist and registered social worker eligible to practice under this Medicare rebate scheme. We can also refer you to other professionals who are registered for this initiative. See our referral service.
At Isis, sessions currently cost $80 – a $76.85 rebate applies.
